Join Tai for an immersive day of yoga and meditation practice. This in-city retreat will begin with a deep yoga practice focusing on the region of the pelvis, hips, sacrum, and low back. Not only will you energetically prepare the body for seated meditation, but you will cultivate greater understanding of the essential balance between hip ‘opening’ and strength/stabilization. We will also explore ‘intrapelvic stabilization’ for increasing awareness and support of SI joint health and integrity.
The afternoon session will begin with a short dharma talk, followed by three rounds of meditation. Each round will begin with approximately 5-minutes of guided inquiry, followed by 25-minutes of silent meditation. There will be brief movement breaks in-between rounds to stretch the body and open the channels of pranic flow.
This is a wonderful opportunity to create more space and structure for your connection to Self – a mini in-city retreat in which you can explore the deeper terrain of Being.
What to bring:
- A yoga mat (OmCulture has some available for use if you do not own one)
- Meditation props, or whatever you need for a comfortable meditation seat (zafu/bolster, blankets, pillows, etc.).
- Journal & pen
- A sack lunch
