Level Two Training @ Whidbey Institute

The Level Two Facilitation Practicum is offered as a residential retreat experience for those seeking a more intimate and immersive training container. The Fall 2024 program will be held at the Whidbey Institute, a nonprofit retreat center set within 106-acres of conservation forest on Whidbey Island, about 90-minutes from downtown Seattle.

This training is an opportunity to step away from the demands of everyday life (and the energy of the city) so that you can fully immerse in the work of facilitating breathwork. Enjoy three nourishing meals daily, along with meditation and gentle/restorative yoga sessions to help you integrate the embodied learning of your breathwork training.

For the program and curriculum details, please visit the Level Two Training page.

About Whidbey Institute

Whidbey Institute is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that’s been a home for transformational learning since 1972. Their mission is to nurture the conditions for transformational learning and to partner with organizations and program leaders supporting community resilience.

LOCATION & GETTING THERE:

WHIDBEY INSTITUTE | 6449 Old Pietila Road, Whidbey Island, Washington

Whidbey Island is an easily accessible island that’s just a stone’s throw from Seattle. Travel requires a 45-75 minute drive North from downtown Seattle and a 20-minute ferry that departs approximately once every 30-minutes. The Institute is 3-miles from the Clinton Ferry Terminal on Whidbey Island - about a 10-minute drive.

TRAVEL BY AIR, to Seatac (SEA) or Paine Field Airport (PAE):

Paine Field in Everett (PAE) is a small airport that’s a short 10-15-minute drive to the Mukilteo Ferry Terminal (you can Uber, cab, or reserve a shuttle). As flights into Paine Field are limited, you can also fly into SeaTac Airport (SEA), and reserve a shuttle with The SeaTac Shuttle that will take you to Whidbey Island and within 3-minutes of the Whidbey Institute (select Clinton/Langley stop). Shuttle service from the ferry terminal to the Whidbey Institute will be provided at no cost.

You can also rent a car upon arrival at SeaTac if you prefer to have your own transportation available for the duration of the training, or if you’d like to extend your stay in the Pacific Northwest!

Lodging:

There are two housing options available for our training at the Institute: the Farmhouse and Meadow Row Cabins.

CABINS (MEADOW ROW)

The Meadow Row cabins (left) were constructed in 2018, and each of the free standing structures has two separate bedrooms with an adjoining (shared) bathroom.

DINING:

Meals at the Whidbey Institute are lovingly prepared by Chef Christyn Johnson and her team, using local, fresh, organic produced whenever possible. Special diets can be accommodated, and often include an abundance of gluten-free, low-sugar, and vegan options.
